Annoucement: Call for Board Nominations
| Are you ready to shape the future of our local IT governance, privacy, AI, and cybersecurity community? Our chapter needs to expand our services and benefits to our members and the Tampa Bay community. As a large ISACA chapter, we have fallen behind in certain areas and will, in the coming year, provide expanded, cost-efficient training/events, scholarships, certification offerings (AI, CMMC, privacy), and support for students, career support changes, and veterans. Our chapter is powered by the passion and expertise of our members. As we continue to improve, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our board and committees and help drive the success of our local professional community. Whether you are looking to lead, build your resume, or simply give back, we have a place for you. It all starts with people … To support these efforts, we are asking for nominations for the Board and for volunteers to our refreshed committee structure. Board Nominations The ISACA West Florida Chapter is officially opening nominations for the 2026-2027 Board of Directors. Since our founding in 1993, our chapter has thrived thanks to the dedicated volunteers who lead our initiatives, and we invite you to join our leadership team and bring your expertise and passion. We are seeking nominations for the following Executive Officer positions (annual term limit): President [1] Progression to the Office of Chapter President. Members become qualified to become candidates for Chapter President if they have completed prior term(s) as a Vice President, or Secretary, or Treasurer, or President of this or any ISACA Chapter. Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Additionally, we are looking for dedicated leaders to fill the following Board Member at Large roles: Academic Relations: Bridging the gap between students and the professional community. Member Professional Development: Coordinating CPE opportunities and certification support. Community Relations and Outreach: Building partnerships and increasing our chapter’s local footprint. Why Join the Board? Serving on the board is a rewarding way to give back to the profession, earn CPE credits, and expand your professional network with leaders across the West Florida region. How to Nominate: If you or someone you know is interested in serving, please complete the attached form with the name of the desired position, a short bio, and a description of what you can add to the chapter. Volunteers – Join our committees We are currently seeking volunteers for Chair, Vice-Chair, and Associate roles across the following committees: Member Professional Development: Help shape our CPE offerings and certification support. SheLeadsTech: Promote diversity and empower women in the technology workforce. Strategic Events Program: Design and execute our premier chapter gatherings and mixers. Academic Relations: Connect with local universities to mentor the next generation of Digital Trust professionals. Community Relations and Outreach: Build meaningful partnerships with local organizations and businesses. Volunteers Development: Focus on recruiting, engaging, and recognizing our chapter’s talent. Communication: Manage our digital presence, newsletters, and member outreach. IT Strategy and Support: Provide the technical backbone and strategic vision for our chapter’s systems. Board Nomination: Assist in identifying and vetting future leaders of the chapter. Audit: Ensure the integrity and transparency of our chapter’s operations and finances.
